Born in Germany, Laura Lang is a multidisciplinary painter and designer, currently living and working in Belgium. Early in her childhood, Laura began practicing fine art self taught and under the direction and encouragement of artist Rene Chacon. She has since had the opportunity to expand her work, as well as participate in and organize local exhibitions. After finishing her studies in Industrial & Transportation Design in Austria, she moved to Belgium. There, in addition to continuing her artistic activities, she works as a Senior Designer and Visual Direction Lead, creating, and directing innovative digital interfaces and physical products.

Her paintings in oil or gouache depict the exploration of color and shape, capturing the beauty found in ordinary situations and motifs in a simple yet expressive manner. The observer will find visible, quick brushstrokes fading into abstract forms, resulting in a painterly sketch, aiming to give the appearance of freshly made artwork.
